3D print produced faster, more economical priced parts with 100% success rate
THE REQUIREMENT/BRIEF
- 3D print from supplied file in ABS plastic.
- Supply thousands of parts per year at reasonable price.
- Improve strength.
- Come up with way to print the part easier making possible to remove part from build plate without tiny connectors breaking off.
THE SOLUTION
- By increasing the nozzle size on the printer we were able to print faster and stronger part.
- Adding 2 extra small connecting joints to supplied file allowed us to remove the ABS part from the build plate without breaking part in 2.
- 2 extra connecting joints were simply clipped off after print removal from plate.
